Student-Centric Bharat: Mobility Should Start With the Student, Not End With Them
Inside the T-Hub launch where ZeroMoblt framed mobility as Digital Public Infrastructure - not a product launch, but a movement.

At T-Hub in Hyderabad, ZeroMoblt introduced Student-Centric Bharat - described deliberately "not as a product launch, but as a movement taking shape." The event's own tagline set the scale of the ambition: a movement built to eventually connect students "across Bharat," not just one city. The premise underneath it: if a country's systems are ever going to be built for its students, mobility has to be one of the first things that gets rebuilt from their point of view, not the institution's.
The venue itself said something about the ambition. T-Hub was launched in 2015 by then-Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Ratan Tata, and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao as a public-private partnership between the Telangana government, IIIT Hyderabad, ISB, and NALSAR - and has since supported over 4,100 startups and helped facilitate more than $2 billion in funding, earning it the label "world's largest innovation hub" from YourStory. It isn't a neutral backdrop; it's one of the most credentialed startup stages in the country.

If a nation claims to be student-centric, its systems must start with the student - not end with them.

Five Principles
The initiative was framed around five commitments: a student-first approach, system-driven (not ad-hoc) operations, interoperable infrastructure that other institutions and platforms can plug into, safety designed in rather than bolted on, and a foundation built as genuine Digital Public Infrastructure.

The same slide named five brand pillars the company holds itself to: Unconventional ("innovative, creative, and expressive... yet modestly humble enough to remain free"), Guardian ("an unyielding force against the encroaching darkness"), Student-Centric Bharat ("we were students, now still students in this land"), Heroic ("driven by passion and conviction toward a beacon of hope"), and Non-Malicious ("balancing one's own harmonies is itself enough").
Technology becomes empathy, connectivity becomes trust, and mobility becomes protection.
Who Was in the Room
The event brought together voices from across the student ecosystem: Sri Charan Lakkaraju (founder, Student Tribe), Saurabh Tiwari (ecosystem lead at ALLEN - 18 years teaching physics, built ALLEN's Digital Academics through the pandemic, and now heads ALLEN Telangana), Anupama Rao (co-founder, Anthea Montessori), and Shailaja Priyadarshini (director, KPSR Solutions) - each speaking to what a genuinely student-first system would need to look like from their corner of education.

Heroes, Not Drivers
A separate segment on stage introduced how the driver side of the network is framed: "Not drivers. Herohs. Verified. Trusted. Zero Certified. Guardians on every route. Every mile, every child, protected." It's the same language now used across Heroh.life and the Heroh App - the driver-facing products a Zero Hero uses once they're verified.

The Reveal: Register on WhatsApp
The launch closed with the reveal of Zero's registration flow - discover a route, subscribe, and manage your child's commute, started entirely over WhatsApp, no app download required to get going. The board on stage broke down the fleet by seater class: 4-seater sedans, 7-seater SUVs, and 12-seater Wingers, all under the same compliance standard.

A Fireside With JioMart's Sandeep Varaganti
The evening also included a fireside conversation between co-founder Alfred Lazarus and Sandeep Varaganti, CEO of JioMart - who, months later, would co-lead ZeroMoblt's pre-seed funding round. The conversation centered on what it takes to build platforms that operate at real scale without losing sight of the people using them.

The Team Behind the Night
None of it runs without the people who built it - on stage and off. The wider ZeroMoblt team turned out in force for the launch.

Not every part of the evening was a formal announcement - some of it was just a look at what the team is still building.

What student problem are we taking to zero today?
- Vijay Ganagam, Co-founder & CEO
